Need help but don’t have time for a home visit? My Collect & Return service takes the hassle out of getting your device repaired. I’ll collect it, fix it, and bring it back – simple!

How it works

This section covers the process from start to finish – when to use it, what’s involved, and how I keep it all as smooth and hassle-free as possible.

What is the Collect & Return service?

It’s a convenient way to get your computer fixed without needing to stay in for a home visit. I’ll collect your device, repair it at my workshop, and drop it back to you when it’s done.

What sort of issues is this best for?

Collect & Return is ideal for problems that take time to diagnose or fix – like upgrades, system reinstalls, data recovery, or repairs that might involve replacing parts.

How long does it take?

Most jobs are turned around in 2–3 working days, depending on what’s involved. If it’s likely to take longer, I’ll let you know upfront.

Do I need to do anything before collection?

Just make sure you’ve backed up anything important (if possible) and have the device ready to hand over. If I need any passwords or chargers, I’ll let you know in advance.

Pricing and payment

Here’s how charges work, what’s included, and how payment is handled once the job’s complete.

How much does Collect & Return cost?

There’s no extra charge for collection or delivery within my usual service area. Standard work is billed at £65 per hour, with a one-hour minimum.

What if I don’t go ahead with the repair?

If you decide not to go ahead after I’ve diagnosed the issue, I may charge a small fee for the time spent assessing the problem.

When do I pay?

Once the job is complete, I’ll return your device and email you an invoice. You can pay by card, bank transfer, or mobile payment – whatever works best for you.

Safety and peace of mind

Your data and equipment are in safe hands. This section covers how I handle security, damage, and communication throughout the repair.

Is my data safe during the repair?

Yes – I take data privacy seriously. I won’t open personal files or access anything I don’t need to. If there’s a risk to your data, I’ll discuss backup options with you first.

Will you keep me updated?

Absolutely. I’ll stay in touch if anything changes or if I need to check anything with you. You’ll never be left wondering what’s going on.

What if something happens to my device while it’s with you?

I take great care with all equipment, but if anything were to go wrong, I’m fully insured for the work I do and the devices I handle.
